Public Service Announcement: It's Autumn in Ohio. That means that the local farmer's market is beginning to sell squash and the grocery store has their fall produce display front and center! I am embarrassed to admit it, but I only learned about acorn squash in the last few years. Before that, they were a foreign produce item. Crab Cakes

A few weeks ago, my father-in-law bought us a can of canned crab meat because it was on sale. The nice thing about canned crab meat is that it usually lasts for a few months if you don't open the can. Once the can is opened, it needs to be used within a few days. I finally decided what I wanted to make with it, so I cracked it open and got to work.

It's September & fall is in the air. The days are starting to get cooler and the nights are perfect for leaving your windows open. Autumn is my favorite season; it always has been. Halloween has always been my favorite holiday. In fact, I dread the summer heat and I much prefer the cool weather of autumn and even the cold weather of winter.

Banana Pecan Oats & The Food of the Mediterranean

Today I am sharing another overnight oat recipe. I actually wasn't originally going to share it, but I posted a photo of it on Facebook and Instagram and was requested to post the recipe. Besides this delicious recipe, I am also sharing some of my favorite foods of the Mediterranean trip we went on. We were actually on a cruise ship, so we ate a lot of typical cruise food. But, we made sure that every time we were at a port, we ate the local cuisine.
