Everyone has a favorite candy, right? You might be a Kit Kat girl or an Almond Joy guy. Me? I am a York Peppermint Patty girl. You’ve probably heard this rule of thumb – never go to the grocery store hungry. You know why that is, right? It’s because if you go to the grocery store hungry you are going to pick up your favorite candy bar on while waiting in the checkout line. The cashier will say “do you want this with you”, you will say “yes, thank you”, you will load the groceries into the car, and then you will eat said candy bar on your way home. I’m not speaking from experience, I’m just telling you what a friend told me.

One year for Lent, I decided I would challenge myself and give up all sweets. I thought that maybe after 40 days with no sweets my cravings would die down and at the end of the 40 days I would be "fixed". No more sugar cravings.

My birthday was yesterday. I've turned another year older. I decided what better way to celebrate my birthday than by eating dessert (all day). Because, really, how else do you celebrate another year of life?
I have always loved blondies, In fact, I like them more than brownies because I like chocolate...but not too much chocolate. In fact, when I was little, my grandma used to make me chocolate chip cookies but she would leave the chocolate chips out. I just wasn't a big fan of chocolate back then. THANK GOODNESS things have changed and now love chocolate. But, still, I can only handle a certain amount of it before I am in chocolate overload.
